Albion invested £¼ million in the purchase of the first Atlas Copco F9 Drill Rig in the country (seen below) to provide the most cost effective, fuel efficient and environmentally friendly service available to our client.

Albion drilled and blasted 90,000 cubic metres of rock in only 4 months to depths of up to 20m and within 30m of multi-storey flats, busy roads, supermarket and shopping centre; all without incident.

Albion carried out all Drilling and Blasting on the 23km length of new dual carriageway construction throughout the length of Anglesey. Over 700,000 cubic metres of rock was blasted to a size suitable for processing in a 15 month programme from a series of cuttings, which skirted local villages.
